Lux-Development élue à la Présidence du réseau Train4Dev

En avril 2009 Lux-Development était devenue membre du réseau Train4Dev «Joint Donors’ Competence Development Network» dont l’objectif consiste à promouvoir l’efficacité de l’aide à travers une meilleure coopération entre les différents bailleurs pour le développement de leurs compétences et de celles de leurs partenaires. A travers ses sous-groupes thématiques, le réseau organise des sessions de formation conjointes sur le terrain et ouvre les formations internes organisées par ses membres. Plusieurs de nos collaborateurs ont déjà pu profiter de cette offre en 2009-2010.

Depuis juin 2009, Lux-Development s’est impliquée dans les organes de gouvernance du réseau en intégrant, suivant le principe de la troïka, le Core Group.

Notre Agence organisera en effet, ensemble avec la CTB, la réunion annuelle de 2011. Par ailleurs, Lux-Development assure depuis janvier 2010 l’administration du site Web www.train4dev.net qui constitue le principal outil de communication du réseau et de ses sous-groupes.

A l’occasion de la réunion annuelle de juin 2010, Lux-Development a franchi un pas supplémentaire dans son implication en faveur du réseau Train4Dev en acceptant de présenter sa candidature à la Présidence. L’élection de François Bary à ce poste témoigne du niveau de confiance que Lux-Development a pu susciter parmi ses pairs. Pendant une année, Lux-Development animera la vie du Core Group qui est actuellement constitué de EuropeAid, de l’AFD (France), de la CTB (Belgique), d’ADA (Autriche) et du CIF-OIT (Centre international de Formation de l’Organisation internationale du Travail).

Les dossiers prioritaires du Core Group ne manquent pas. On peut notamment citer :

• Mise en œuvre du dispositif de monitoring en ligne des activités des sous-groupes
• Préparation et réalisation de l’évaluation du réseau
• Accompagnement rapproché des sous-groupes émergents (décentralisation, réforme de la fonction publique, changement climatique)
• Création d’un nouveau sous-groupe (protection sociale)
• Préparation de la participation active du réseau au Forum de haut niveau de Séoul en septembre 2011.

L’implication de Lux-Development dans le réseau Train4Dev est cohérente avec les objectifs que s’est fixée Lux-Development dans le cadre de sa Vision 2012, notamment celui d’être en mesure d’adopter les différentes approches et modalités de coopération et celui de nous engager dans des réseaux internationaux qui renforcent notre efficacité et le dialogue entre Agences de développement.

Lux-Development elected to the Presidency of the Train4Dev network

In April 2009 Lux-Development joined Train4Dev, which is the "Joint Donors' Competence Development Network » and aims to promote aid effectiveness through better cooperation between the various donors for the development of their skills and those of their partners. Through its sub-groups, the network organizes joint training sessions in the field and opens their in-house training to all members. Quite a few of our employees have already benefited from this offer in 2009-2010.

Since June 2009, Lux-Development has been involved in the governance bodies of the network by integrating the principle of the troika, the Core Group.

Our agency will organize, in fact, together with BTC (Belgian Agency), the network’s annual meeting of 2011. Furthermore, Lux-Development has provided since January 2010 the website administration www.train4dev.net which is the main tool of communication network and its sub-groups.

On the occasion of the annual meeting in June 2010, Lux-Development has taken a further step in its implication for the Train4Dev network by agreeing to submit her candidacy for the Presidency. The election of François Bary to this position reflects the level of confidence that Lux-Development has been able to generate among its peers. During one year, Lux-Development will lead the Core Group which currently consists of EuropeAid, AFD (France), BTC (Belgium), ADA (Austria) and the ITC-ILO (International Training Centre the International Labour Organization).

The priority issues of the Core Group are manyfold. These include:

• Implementation of the device online monitoring of activities of sub-groups
• Preparation and implementation of network assessment
• Support closer to the emerging subgroups (decentralization, civil service reform, climate change)
• Creating a new sub-group (social welfare)
  Preparation of the active network in the High Level Forum (HLF) in Seoul in September 2011.

The involvement of Lux-Development in the Train4Dev network is consistent with the objectives Lux-Development set itself in the framework of its Vision 2012, including that of being able to adopt different cooperation approaches and modalities and that we engage in international networks that enhance our efficiency and dialogue between development agencies.
